During the meeting, it was noted that in recent years the political dialogue between the two countries has intensified, and mutual visits at the highest and highest levels have become regular.
It was emphasized that the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia, as well as meetings within the framework of international and regional summits, contributed to strengthening strategic partnership.
The sides exchanged views on the development of interparliamentary cooperation. The importance of further intensifying the activities of friendship groups established in the parliaments of the two countries, expanding the exchange of experience and visits was noted.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to the practical results achieved in the areas of trade, economic and investment cooperation. Thus, there was a significant expansion of the portfolio of investment projects and the implementation of major joint projects in the energy sector, in particular, in the field of renewable energy sources.
It was emphasized that cultural and humanitarian cooperation, joint activities in the field of healthcare, as well as favorable conditions created for organizing pilgrimages to Hajj and Umrah, strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
In particular, the importance of the Center of Islamic Civilization established in Uzbekistan in the study of Islamic cultural heritage in Uzbekistan was highlighted. An exchange of views took place on further cooperation with this Center in conducting scientific research and international conferences.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the progressive development of relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia in all areas, including interparliamentary cooperation, and expressed their willingness to continue efforts to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
