    Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and Georgia Abdulla Aripov and Irakli Garibashvili signed a plan for the development of bilateral cooperation for the period from 2023 to 2024 inclusive at a meeting in Tbilisi. This was reported by the press service of the Georgian government.

    "After the meeting in an expanded format, the Prime Ministers of Georgia and Uzbekistan signed an action plan for joint practical measures to develop bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023 and 2024," the message reads.

    The delegations also signed an agreement on the establishment of the Business Council of the two countries by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

    Before the meeting in an expanded format, the Prime Ministers discussed the transit potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. On behalf of the Georgian government, Garibashvili congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his re-election as President of Uzbekistan.

    Prime Minister of Uzbekistan A. Aripov arrived in Georgia on Monday on an official visit. Garibashvili visited Tashkent last year.
