According to the Report, Mulino wrote his opinion on the situation around the channel on social networks.
"President Trump is lying again. There is no question of restoring control over the Panama Canal, and this was not discussed either in negotiations with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio or with anyone else," he said.
He noted that cooperation between the two countries is developing on the basis of agreements on issues of mutual interest that have nothing to do with either the return of the canal to the United States or the undermining of Panama's national sovereignty.
"The channel belongs to Panama and will remain Panamanian!" The president assured me.
Earlier, during his address to Congress, Trump said that the United States had begun to take measures to regain control of the Panama Canal.
