The supply of hepatitis C drugs from Egypt continues

    Another shipment of Sofosbuvir-400mg, allocated by the Egyptian government as humanitarian aid to our country as part of the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan on the treatment of hepatitis C at the expense of the state, has arrived in Tashkent.

    The cargo was delivered by Uzbekistan Airways from Sharm el-Sheikh to Tashkent, the Dune news agency reports.

    This is the 27th shipment of humanitarian aid from Egypt, which includes 7,200 Sofosbuvir-400mg drugs.

    As part of the implementation of the national program for the elimination of hepatitis C in Uzbekistan by 2030, medicines are distributed to patients undergoing treatment at the Research Institute of Virology of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

    According to the Uzbek Embassy in Cairo, the Egyptian government has provided a total of 800,000 units (about 40 tons) of hepatitis C drugs Daclatasvir and Sofosbuvir and hepatitis C drugs Entecavir for a total of $4.2 million.

    So far, 13.4 tons of drugs with a total cost of 1,461 thousand US dollars have been shipped to our country in stages.
