The course of implementation of investment projects with the involvement of funds of international financial institutions is considered

    On September 21, under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev, a meeting was held in the format of a videoconference dedicated to the analysis of the implementation of projects in which funds from international financial institutions were attracted.

    The meeting was attended by heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, commercial banks and local authorities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent.

    It was announced that 111 investment projects with a total value of $ 14.2 billion are being implemented within the framework of the State Investment Program for 2022 with the involvement of funds from international financial institutions, of which $ 2.2 billion will be disbursed by the end of the year. Also, by the end of the year, the implementation of 29 investment projects worth $ 2.4 billion will be completed.

    The course of implementation of the above-mentioned projects in the context of regions and industries was reviewed. The possibilities of shortening the period of tender processes and evaluation of tender proposals, coordination of technical and economic parameters of projects have been studied. The need to improve the skills of project implementation groups and strengthen control over the implementation of projects by contractors was voiced.

    The heads of ministries and departments responsible for the implementation of projects were instructed to take comprehensive measures to prevent the above-mentioned cases of delay, ensure the targeted development of attracted foreign investments and timely commissioning of projects.

    As a result of the meeting, the personal responsibility of the relevant managers was emphasized and additional instructions were given within the framework of the qualitative execution of the tasks set, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
