Uzbekistan's cooperation with the Muslim Council of Elders is developing

    On May 1 of this year, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, held talks with the Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Muhammad Abdulsalam.

    During the conversation, issues of developing ties with the Muslim Council of Elders, expanding cooperation in the field of strengthening religious tolerance and traditional Islamic values were discussed.

    Thus, attention was focused on the issues of in-depth study of the scientific and spiritual heritage of our great ancestors together with the Muslim Council of Elders, in particular, establishing effective contacts within the framework of the activities of the Center for Islamic Civilization and the new Imam Bukhari complex being built in the city of Samarkand.

    It was noted that today the issues of strengthening unity, harmony and cohesion, protecting youth from various threats are becoming more important than ever for Muslims around the world. The parties expressed their willingness to establish broad cooperation in this area.

    At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further expanding ties, conducting delegation visits, and jointly organizing various scientific and practical events.
