The opening ceremony took place at one of the main historical sites of the city - Registan. It was attended by Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education Farkhod Bakiyev and Deputy khokim of Samarkand region Khusan Tukhtayev. They wished the young artists bright performances and inspiration.

The final brought together 300 talented schoolchildren representing 28 creative teams from all over the republic - from Tashkent and Karakalpakstan to all regions of the country.

The Samarkand region is represented in the theater competition by the Barkamol Avlod team from school No. 57 of the Tailyak district. According to their mentor Zarina Parmanova, the guys have prepared a production based on the work of Usmon Azim "Nights without a Day."

At the end of the ceremony, the audience witnessed a colorful 3D show on Registan Square.

Competitive performances will take place on June 18 and 19 at the Regional Musical Drama Theater and the Nurafshon Palace of Arts.

The award ceremony will take place at the Eternal City complex of the International Tourist Center.
