Samarkand has become the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2025

    A forum entitled "Cultural Heritage and cultural manifestations of the Islamic World: calligraphy, music, poetry and Unity" is being held in Samarkand.

    During the forum, Dr. Salim bin Muhammad al-Malik, Director General of the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ICESCO), solemnly presented the symbolic flag and statuette of the "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World" to the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov and Khokim of Samarkand region Adiz Boboev.

    According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Uzbekistan has received this honorary status for the third time.
