The European Airports Council (ACI Europe) has published an annual report in which it provided information on passenger traffic at Eurasian airports. According to the results of 2023, Samarkand Airport took the third place in its class (from 100 thousand to 1 million passengers per year). The increase was 109.8% compared to the same period in 2019.
Earlier, in 2023, the airport broke the 1 million mark for the first time in its history and served 1,010,938 passengers, which is 104.9% or 517,521 more passengers than in the record year 2022.
