The national team of Uzbekistan has successfully started at the World Chess Olympiad in Hungary

    The World Chess Olympiad will be held in Budapest from September 10 to 23, 2024.

    A delegation headed by the Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan Alisher Sadullayev is taking part in the World Chess Olympiad in Budapest.

    As part of the Uzbek national team, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Javakhir Sindorov, Nodirbek Yagubboev, Jahangir and Shamsiddin Vakhidov will defend the honor of our country and fight for the title of champion. Afroza Khamdamova, Nilufar Yagubboeva, Marjona Malikova, Nodira Nodirjonova, Umida Omonova will take part in the women's competition.

    The Embassy of our country in Hungary provides constant necessary support to the delegation, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.

    On September 11, the Uzbek team won the first day of the tournament. The boys' team beat the Trinidad and Tobago team with a big score, and our girls beat the Haiti team with a great score.

    On September 12, Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan Alisher Sagdullayev officially launched the opening of the second day of the 45th Chess Olympiad. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov also took part in the event.

    On the second day, the girls' team played with the Angolan team, and the boys' team played with the Egyptian team. As a result, representatives of the Uzbek national team (men's and women's teams) won convincing victories.
