It is noted that at the 11th plenary session, the Law "On the ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Tajikistan on the junction point of the state borders of the three states (Khujand, March 31, 2025)" was discussed.
This Treaty definitively defines the junction point of the state borders of the three neighboring Central Asian countries—Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan—and strengthens its legal foundations at the level of an international document. It reflects a consistent and legally grounded approach to resolving border issues with neighboring states.
As is known, this historic Treaty was signed thanks to the initiatives and efforts of our President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev to ensure good-neighborliness and stability in Central Asia.
The document is aimed at strengthening trilateral agreements at an institutional level, ensuring legal certainty in the region, and further reinforcing mutual harmony, good-neighborliness, and friendship between the states.
As emphasized by the senators during the discussion, this Treaty serves to ensure peace and stability in the Central Asian region, strengthen trust and friendship among the fraternal peoples, and deepen regional cooperation. Following the discussion, the Law was approved by the senators.
