The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the event.
The Head of the state cordially congratulated the multinational people of Uzbekistan on the Navruz holiday and expressed his best wishes.
“Last year, due to the pandemic, we could not celebrate Navruz as before. Then we intended to celebrate many more holidays, spend many festivals together with our people as soon the troubling days would be left behind. Today these dreams are coming true. A festive mood reigns again in our beautiful country, joyful days are beginning”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The President emphasized that the threat of coronavirus has not yet been eliminated and that the work done is not wasted, the fight against the pandemic cannot be stopped for a minute, indifference and carelessness must not be shown.
“Our strength lies in unity and solidarity, our strength lies in kindness, mutual assistance and generosity, our success lies in firm confidence in the future”, the President said.
This time Navruz is celebrated in the year of the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan people celebrate this holiday in a good mood.
- The immortal spirit and long-term philosophy of Navruz are harmoniously combined and consonant with the idea of a new Uzbekistan, which we are building today. With the selfless labor of our people and strong political will, we will continue our large-scale reforms. No matter how difficult it is, we will never deviate from our right path to ensure the interests of our people, the future of our dear children”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The large-scale activities carried out in all spheres and regions are bearing fruit. Modern enterprises, new housing, scientific and cultural institutions are being built, cities and villages are being improved.
Priority is given to solving the problems of all segments of the population, primarily women and youth, creating conditions for them to receive education and vocational training, providing jobs, a source of income and housing.
All this corresponds to the values of humanity, care and wellbeing that Navruz embodies.
The Head of the state also addressed congratulations to all peoples and foreign partners celebrating the Navruz holiday these days.
