The need for such an exhibition was discussed during the visit of the Head of state to the region in 2022. In accordance with the instructions, more than fifty hectares of land were improved, many yurts were erected. The largest yurt is 42 meters in diameter and 22 meters in height. It houses the administration, dining room, and other premises. Various cultural events and forums can be held here.
The complex contains yurts of Turkic peoples such as Karakalpaks, Kazakhs, Turkmens, Kyrgyz, and Bashkirs, as well as districts of Karakalpakstan. They reflect our fraternal peoples’ history, culture, and way of life.
The President inspected these yurts.
“We have the same roots, the same destiny. It is necessary to increase the number of such events, hold joint festivals, and strengthen people’s friendships. It is important to preserve national crafts, convey them to the younger generation, prepare students, and expand the publication of books for children in their native language”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The complex has an artificial lake, an island, and a hotel. All this has quickly turned the place into a tourist destination. Visitors are very interested in getting acquainted with yurts, national clothes, and household items.
Thereupon, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev completed his visit to Karakalpakstan and returned to Tashkent.
