Singapore is considering launching direct flights to Uzbekistan

    As part of the measures to expand the international route network and develop the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, a working meeting was held with representatives of one of the world's leading aviation hubs, Changi Airport (Singapore).

    During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects of opening direct flights between Tashkent and Singapore. Singapore Changi Airport representatives expressed high interest in launching this route, emphasizing the growing interest of Singapore's travel companies in Uzbekistan as an attractive tourist destination.

    Special attention was paid to the role of Tashkent airport as a key transit hub. Representatives of Changi Airport noted that Tashkent's wide route network with European cities makes the capital of Uzbekistan a strategically important point for passenger flows between Europe and Asia.

    Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for further cooperation and outlined the next steps to work out issues related to logistics, marketing support and clarifying regulatory procedures necessary to launch direct flights.
