The project "Sports Envoys of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization" was launched for the first time on the eve of the Summit of the Heads of the SCO member states, which will be held on September 15-16 in Samarkand.

Dozens of famous athletes from Uzbekistan and other countries took part in the event. Everyone who attended it had the opportunity to communicate with the stars of world sports.

Of course, this project has become an important platform for further strengthening friendly relations between the countries of the region through sports. This was emphasized by the Minister of Sports Development Adham Ikramov in his opening speech.

The event was also attended by the Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov, the leadership of the Ministry of Sports Development and the NOC, a number of representatives of the diplomatic corps of our country.
