The Commonwealth countries discussed social policy and ways of developing the labor market

    The delegation of Uzbekistan took part in a meeting of the Advisory Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population of the CIS member states, which was held in a hybrid format.

    The meeting was attended by representatives of authorized bodies and experts from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the Interparliamentary Assembly, the Interstate Statistical Committee, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the CIS Executive Committee.

    Over three decades of work, the Advisory Council has made a significant contribution to the development of the social and labor sphere, the formation of a common labor market and the strengthening of cooperation between the CIS countries.

    Important issues were discussed at the meeting, including the implementation of the decisions of the previous meeting, the results of cooperation in the social and labor sphere, as well as the current situation in this area in the CIS countries.

    Turkmenistan, as the presiding party, presented its achievements in the implementation of social policy, emphasizing the importance of the human being as the highest value of society and the state.

    The members of the Council noted the coherence of actions, a solid legal framework and political will that contribute to successful cooperation in the long term.

    They expressed confidence that the implementation of the initiatives announced at the meeting will strengthen the coordinated policy in the social and labor sphere, stimulate integration and expand mutually beneficial partnership.

    The need for the exchange of experience and close cooperation with other CIS bodies on issues of mutual interest is emphasized.

    The meeting of the Advisory Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population confirmed the commitment of the CIS countries to strengthen cooperation in the social and labor sphere and create favorable conditions for the life and work of citizens.
