Tashkent has received the first tourist train following the route "Almaty - Turkestan - Tashkent - Almaty"

    On November 18, a solemn meeting of the first tourist train "Jibek Joly", following the route "Almaty - Turkestan - Tashkent - Almaty", took place at the Central Railway Station of Tashkent.

    The event was organized by the Tourism Committee, Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC and Kazakhstan Temir Joly JSC.

    The tour with 115 passengers will last for five days, from November 16 to November 20, 2024. The travelers spent one day in Turkestan, and in Tashkent they will stop for two days to explore the main sights, picturesque locations and other interesting places. All excursions will be accompanied by professional guides, and travel along the route will be provided by tourist buses.

    The train consists of five new Kazakh-made wagons that were not previously used on other routes. For passenger service, the train consists of a train chief, eight conductors and an electrician. Tickets for the trip could be purchased through travel agencies.

    This event contributes to strengthening interstate cooperation in the field of tourism and stimulates the growth of tourist flow between the countries of Central Asia.
