During the conversation, Debra Long expressed gratitude for organizing the visit of representatives of the Law Society to Uzbekistan on April 15-19, 2024 and highly appreciated the reforms and changes that have taken place in the legal sphere of Uzbekistan in recent years.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of the United Kingdom, the Law Society has developed a proposal to organize a round table in Tashkent in March this year on the topic of professional development of lawyers in order to further improve the legal sphere in Uzbekistan and support reforms in this direction.
It is planned that the event will be attended by the leadership and representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, the Ombudsman, the Chamber of Lawyers, the National Center for Human Rights, the Center for Advanced Training of Lawyers, Tashkent State Law University, as well as international organizations and British representative offices in Tashkent.
In this regard, an agreement was reached to organize a visit of the Law Society delegation to Tashkent in March for the purpose of holding the above-mentioned event.
The Law Society Association was founded in 1825 and is a council that unites and supports more than 200,000 lawyers in England and Wales.
