    Baktiyar Orozov, the former Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation, was detained drunk driving. This is reported by the media with reference to employees of the Main Directorate for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

    According to them, Baktiyar Orozov was detained on the night of December 15 in the village of Koi-Tash by traffic police officers of the Chui region on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

    During the examination, doctors confirmed alcohol in his body. Baktiyar Orozov himself says in the video that he drank two mugs of beer.

    The Interior Ministry will provide details later.

    Baktiyar Orozov was appointed Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation in May this year. Prior to that, he held the positions of First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and Deputy Minister of Justice. 24.kg.
