Uzbekistan - Kyrgyzstan: topical issues of mutual cooperation discussed

    On October 31, 2023, a meeting was held between JSC "Uzbekistan Temir Yullari" and SE "NC "Kyrgyz Temir Jolu", at which issues aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed.

    On the part of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC, the meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC Z. Narzullayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board H. Rakhmetov, and other responsible employees of the services. The Kyrgyz delegation was headed by the Director General of the State Enterprise "NC "Kyrgyz Temir Jolu" A. Sakiev.

    One of the main topics of the negotiations was the creation of favorable conditions for the transportation of goods by rail. The parties discussed the issue of providing wagons from Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC for the transportation of goods from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, which contributes to the development of trade and economic ties between the countries.

    The issues of training Kyrgyz specialists in higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan were also considered. The parties agreed to expand cooperation in the field of education in order to improve the qualifications of personnel and develop professional skills.

    An important result of the meeting was the discussion of the launch of seasonal passenger trains on the Tashkent - Rybachye - Tashkent route. This initiative contributes to the improvement of passenger communication between the two countries and the development of the tourism potential of the region.

    Moreover, the parties reached an agreement on the implementation of practical measures to accelerate the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. It was noted that this project is of strategic importance for the development of transport infrastructure in the region and the strengthening of economic ties between the countries.

    A visit to the new IT Center of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari was organized. The Kyrgyz delegation became the first foreign guests to be introduced to this innovative office. During the presentation, modern technological solutions used in the railway industry were demonstrated, as well as the advantages and opportunities provided by the IT center for improving the efficiency and development of railway services were described.

    Following the meeting, a corresponding protocol was signed, which consolidates the agreements reached and reflects the importance of developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the railway industry, the information and analytical media center of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC reports.
