During the event, issues of deepening economic and investment cooperation between the two countries were discussed. Special attention was paid to the implementation of major joint projects in the field of agriculture.
In particular, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Slovak company TASHSLAVTRADE signed a memorandum on the establishment of agro logistic centers in our country.
The agreement is aimed at expanding and modernizing the infrastructure of modern warehouses designed for the storage and transportation of agricultural products in Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed to strengthen mutual economic interests through the introduction of advanced technologies, the supply of modern agricultural machinery, as well as the export of high-quality products.
According to the memorandum, TASHSLAVTRADE expressed interest in implementing warehouse construction projects in the Tashkent region or other suitable regions. The initial investment is estimated at 5 million euros. In addition, the company plans to act as a bridge for regional producers in exporting high-quality agricultural products and dried fruits from Central Asian countries to European markets.
The Uzbek side, in turn, assumed obligations to provide state subsidies and tax benefits, allocate land, and develop infrastructure in support of the project. It also provides assistance in the exchange of modern agricultural experience, obtaining the necessary permits and interacting with relevant government agencies.
In addition, the parties agreed to establish a joint working group and consider the possibilities of involving other interested investors and international organizations in the implementation of these projects.
