Uzbekistan - Slovakia: prospects for new cooperation in agriculture

    Deputy Minister of Agriculture Akmal Kassymov is on a visit to the Slovak Republic these days. During the trip, he is holding talks aimed at developing cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector.

    One of these meetings was a conversation with Vladimir Vnuk, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Slovakia, Secretary of State.

    During the dialogue, the parties paid special attention to the expansion of agricultural trade, the development of export geography and the strengthening of innovative cooperation.

    As a result of the meeting, important agreements were reached on further deepening strategic partnership in agriculture, exchange of experience in education and research, as well as the introduction of innovative technologies.

    In recent years, Uzbekistan has been actively modernizing agriculture and strengthening international cooperation. The new initiatives being implemented jointly with Slovakia will undoubtedly be an important step in this direction.
