The parties discussed the extensive work carried out to modernize the infrastructure of the airports of the two countries, the introduction of environmental, energy-saving and digital technologies aimed at improving passenger comfort and safety.

It was noted that the development of airports is an integral part of the strategy of sustainable growth of the transport system and plays an important role in strengthening the transit potential of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Special attention was paid to issues related to obtaining the international Skytrax rating. The Azerbaijani side shared its experience, noting that the Heydar Aliyev International Airport already has a successful certification experience and is ready to assist Uzbekistan Airports in passing a similar procedure.

At the same time, the delegation of Uzbekistan Airports is in Baku, where it is studying the organization of work and infrastructure solutions of the airport, which are planned to be adapted and implemented at airports in Uzbekistan.
