Uzbekistan Airports took part in the World forum on the development of air routes

    Uzbekistan Airways took part in the 28th World Air Route Development Forum World Routes Forum 2023 in Istanbul. The main objectives of the trip were to restore contacts with airlines, raise awareness about Uzbekistan and the airports of the republic, attract new airlines and work with carriers to open new routes.

    On the sidelines of the forum, representatives of the company held talks and met with 56 airlines in Europe, America, the Middle East and Asia, 18 of which expressed interest in cooperation with airports in Uzbekistan in the near and medium term. The Polish airline LOT and the German national carrier Lufthansa, the Turkish airline Sunexpress, the South Korean low-cost airline Jeju Air and one of the leaders of the aviation industry in the world Qatar Airways showed a firm interest in resuming flights.

    Negotiations were also held with representatives of FlyDubai and Jazeera Airways to expand the geography of flights and increase the frequency of available flights. In addition, negotiations were held with Lufthansa, Thai Cargo and Qatar Airways on the organization of cargo flights.

    The World Route Development Forum is one of the main aviation events on a global scale, which gathers representatives of airports, airlines, suppliers, investors, international and regional associations, national tourism organizations and the media. Routes is built on pre-planned 20-minute business meetings that provide a real opportunity to establish contacts. The number of Routes delegates this year exceeded 3,000 people: more than 300 airlines, 700 airports, 130 travel agencies, 10 international industry organizations, 150 suppliers and 60 industry media from 110 countries.
