Uzbekistan is preparing to host the next SCO Women's Forum at a high level

On July 19 of this year, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis held a meeting dedicated to the organization and holding at a high level of the next SCO women's forum in the city of Samarkand, which will be held on August 18-19, 2022.

Senators, heads of ministries and departments, deputy mayors of the Samarkand region and the city of Tashkent, representatives of the mass media took part in it.

The meeting discussed the issue of thorough preparation for the Forum organized as part of the effective implementation of the chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2021-2022.

In particular, information was heard from the heads of some ministries and departments that are preparing for the Forum.

It was noted that the Forum is organized to further develop cooperation between the SCO member states in the most important areas of the SDGs and exchange experience in the field of gender equality, empowerment of women, as well as to identify existing problems and take measures to eliminate them, as well as to strengthen the interaction of states within this platform, the information service reports Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
