The meeting was also attended by representatives of FAR, Proparco and Expertise France, leading experts and entrepreneurs.

During the conversation, achievements and new opportunities for joint economic development were discussed, and the results of bilateral cooperation aimed at supporting reforms, implementing infrastructure projects and developing a green economy were summed up. The FAR continues to play a key role in improving the standard of living of the population, solving environmental and social problems, and supporting the private sector in Uzbekistan.

Experts noted the strengthening of trade and investment ties between Uzbekistan and the European Union in recent years. In 2024, the trade turnover with the EU reached 6.4 billion dollars, an increase of 5.2%. One of the success factors was the country's successful use of its status under the EU's GSP+ program, which gives access to the European market to more than 6,200 Uzbek products. As a result, Uzbek goods successfully enter the EU market, contributing to export diversification and increasing the presence of domestic producers abroad.

Currently, more than 1,000 European companies are operating in Uzbekistan, implementing investment projects worth over 30 billion euros. The French experience can become an additional driver of economic growth, including through the development of sectoral strategies, support for regional development programs and reforms aimed at strengthening the private sector.

At the same time, the parties outlined several key areas for further cooperation, such as the development of regional cooperation, attracting additional financial resources, and cooperation in the field of critical raw materials.

To support these areas, Uzbekistan has adopted legislation in the field of mining, developed jointly with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. It meets international standards and will create additional conditions for attracting investment in the country's mining industry.

At the end of the event, the participants expressed confidence in the further deepening of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency, as well as in new opportunities for European companies in Uzbekistan, a country striving to become a leading center for investment, innovation and sustainable economic growth.
