The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Ministers of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Baya Kvitsiani and Tamar Gvamichava.

During the meeting, based on agreements reached at the highest and highest levels between the two countries, new initiatives were put forward aimed at bringing cooperation in the field of higher education, science and innovation to a new level. The sides exchanged views on the further development of cooperation in the field of education and science, the implementation of joint educational programs, support for research activities, and the expansion of the exchange of teaching staff.

Information on projects implemented within the framework of cooperation between universities of the two countries was presented at the meeting. In particular, it was noted that three students from Georgia are successfully studying in Uzbekistan. It was also noted that cooperation has been established between Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Georgian Scientific Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking, within the framework of which it is planned to lay a collection vineyard and organize internships for undergraduates specializing in Viticulture and Winemaking.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to hold the first Forum of Rectors of Uzbekistan and Georgia. They expressed confidence that this forum would become an important platform for strengthening ties between the academic communities of the two countries, exchanging experiences and identifying promising areas of cooperation.

An agreement was also reached to support the admission process of Georgian applicants to higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. This will be an important step towards increasing the international prestige of Uzbekistan's education sector and the export of educational services.
