Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan signed a road map that includes 37 investment projects and trade contracts

    December 29 in the city of Astana Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodzhayev and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin agreed on a Roadmap for the implementation of investment agreements and trade contracts signed within the framework of the visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Uzbekistan

    The document includes 37 activities for investment and trade cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, electrical and chemical industry, infrastructure construction, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, agriculture.

    • production of phosphorus and complex mineral fertilizers in Navoi and Tashkent regions (Kazphosphate LLP and Uzkimyosanoat JSC);
    • long-term (at least 10 years) provision of fuel needs of three new coal-fired thermal power plants with a total capacity of up to 2 GW, built in Samarkand, Tashkent and Fergana regions, with coal from the Shubarkul deposit;
    • construction of housing, social and commercial infrastructure in the city of Tashkent in partnership with BI Group;
    • production of Chevrolet Onix cars in Kazakhstan with the participation of Allur Group of Companies JSC;
    • production of Artel household appliances in Karaganda region;
    • organization of ceramic tile production in the city of Shymkent;
    • supply of early potatoes, meat, meat and fruits and vegetables.
