Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will start mutual exchange of electronic permit forms on April 15

    On April 3, the international forum "Digital Transport Corridors" started in Samarkand, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriev and representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

    Within the framework of the forum, a session "International and cross-border cooperation in the field of transportation" was held, which was opened by Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriev, the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

    Sergazi Omash, Director of the Department of Digitalization and Public Services of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, in his speech focused on the project currently being implemented on the mutual transition to electronic permit forms (E-permit) with the Republic of Uzbekistan in road freight transportation.

    "We have already signed a memorandum of cooperation, and from April 15 this year it is planned to start mutual electronic exchange and issuance of electronic permit forms in a pilot mode," a representative of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan said.

    During the sessions, the countries discussed long-term principles and approaches to the development of their transport and logistics potential and noted that the forum would serve as a powerful impetus for the development of interstate relations in the region.
