Work in this direction will be carried out on the basis of an intergovernmental agreement on the provision of technical assistance to the republic in the field of metrology, signed between the governments of the two countries within the framework of the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Uzbekistan.

"The complex will meet the needs for high-precision measurements of enterprises of the republic, will become a Central Asian metrological hub," the message says.

Rosstandart is responsible for the implementation of the project on the part of the Russian Federation.

"The conclusion of an agreement at the intergovernmental level will contribute to deepening cooperation in the field of metrology between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan," stressed the head of the department Anton Shalaev.

The Russian side will help Uzbekistan, free of charge, not only to equip the laboratories of the innovative metrology complex, but also to train and improve the skills of specialists in the process of commissioning equipment and measuring instruments.
