The meeting began with an exchange of views on topical issues of social protection. The parties discussed in detail promising areas for further expansion of cooperation.

The Turkmen side was familiarized in detail with the work done in Uzbekistan to support socially vulnerable segments of the population, noted the significant results achieved in a number of areas, and also informed about planned activities for the future.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in a number of promising areas. In particular:

development of the social services system at the mahalla level, improving the efficiency of providing services to socially vulnerable groups of the population;

development of a system of care services for people in need of outside care;

exchange of experience on improving rehabilitation of persons with disabilities;

digitalization of the social protection sector in order to optimize the provision of social services and increase their accessibility.

The Director of the agency invited the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan to get acquainted with the projects implemented in our country in the field of social protection and to conduct detailed negotiations on cooperation. The meeting was held in an open and constructive atmosphere, in a businesslike and friendly spirit.
