During the talks, the parties discussed the development of transport infrastructure and the expansion of bilateral cooperation. In particular, proposals were considered to connect the territories of New Tashkent and Tashkent with the new airport through railway lines, as well as underground and above-ground metro.

In addition, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for the modernization of the new Tashkent -Samarkand high-speed railway lines, the separation of railway infrastructure for more efficient organization of passenger and freight transportation, as well as the implementation of investment projects in the transport sector.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further develop cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the field of transport and logistics, implement joint projects and strengthen mutually beneficial ties.
