The meeting discussed cooperation between the two countries in the field of railway and road transport, in particular, the purchase of 6 high-speed passenger electric trains from the Korean company Hyundai Rotem and the construction of a separate high-speed passenger railway line on the Tashkent-Samarkand route.

During the meeting, D. Hwang shared his experience in the development of Incheon International Airport and expressed interest in the participation of the Korean State Corporation in the modernization of Urgench Airport.

The Korean side also reported that by October 2024, the development of the Smart City master plan for Tashkent has been completed, and the possibility of working on a project to create a Smart Bus system is being considered.

The parties discussed further areas of potential cooperation within the framework of the Korean Official Development Assistance program.
