During the talks, issues of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea in the field of transport and road management, the possibility of introducing Korean highway management systems, smart traffic lights, artificial intelligence-based traffic control systems in Uzbekistan, as well as the implementation by the Korean government of technical assistance and training programs in Uzbekistan were discussed.
Also during the negotiations, the Korean side put forward proposals for the implementation of digitalization projects for road infrastructure in Uzbekistan, including intelligent tolling, ITS sensor systems, traffic monitoring, and ensuring the participation of KEC Corporation in the development of highway projects within the framework of the Tashkent-Andijan Toll Highway PPP project.
