    Since the beginning of this week, dry and very hot air from the southern latitudes has continued to enter the territory of Uzbekistan.

    According to the Uzhydromet service, abnormally high temperatures are expected in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region on June 16-17, and in the rest of the country on June 17-19. During the day, the air will warm up to 40-42°C, in the southern and desert regions in places - up to 43-44°C.

    The nights will also be warm and stuffy - only in the morning will the temperature briefly drop to 24-27 °C.

    At the end of the week, the heat will weaken slightly: 35-38°C is expected in most parts of the country during the day, up to 41°C in the south. Cloudy, dry weather will prevail.

    On June 16-18, winds are expected to increase to 13-18 m/s in the north and in desert areas, and on June 19-21 in most areas, with dusty drifts in places.

    On June 20, short-term rains with thunderstorms are possible in mountainous areas.
