The event was organized jointly with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and representatives of local employers, according to the Dunyo News Agency.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mukhsinhuja Abdurakhmonov informed the participants about the current situation in the field of migration in Uzbekistan and the scale of ongoing reforms in this industry.
During the event, the JICA project "Development of Uzbekistan's human resources potential in the industrial sector using employment opportunities in Japan" was presented, as well as the online platform "Japan career portal" was demonstrated.
During the round table, representatives of Japanese employers expressed their high interest in attracting migrant workers from Uzbekistan. The parties reached an agreement on cooperation in the development of practical measures for teaching Japanese to Uzbek citizens and their professional training.
The event confirmed the interest in developing cooperation in the field of labor migration and identified areas for further joint work.
