Within the framework of the closed plenary session of the General Assembly, the presentation of the application of the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for joining IOTA as an associate member took place.

Speaking at the Plenary session, F.Pulatov presented the key areas of tax reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of respected President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev. It was noted that in recent years, the country has consistently developed a modern, technological and customer-oriented tax system based on digital services, data analysis, a risk-based approach and support for voluntary compliance with tax obligations.

Special attention was paid to the development of the digital ecosystem of tax administration, automated risk analysis, as well as proactive tax calculation. It was emphasized that these measures are aimed at reducing administrative barriers, increasing transparency of the tax system and creating a predictable business environment for national and foreign investors.

At the closed Plenary Session of the IOTA General Assembly, following a secret ballot, Uzbekistan was accepted as a member of this reputable European organization.

Membership in IOTA will allow Uzbekistan to actively participate in professional exchange with tax administrations of European countries, introduce international best practices in the field of tax administration, digitalization, risk management and compliance, as well as share its own experience of large-scale digital transformation of the tax system.

During the ongoing General Assembly, participants will discuss topical issues of the use of artificial intelligence and behavioral analytics in tax administration, the development of intelligent compliance tools, risk management, transparency of automated solutions and future models of tax administration until 2030.

Uzbekistan's admission to IOTA has become an important confirmation of the country's consistent course towards modernizing the tax system, strengthening international cooperation and integrating modern tax administrations into the professional space.
