Uzbekistan, which joined this call earlier, presented its annual report on the fulfillment of its commitments in the field of child protection, violence prevention and the development of interagency cooperation.
The delegation of our country was headed by Director of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mansurbek Olloyorov.
He noted the key achievements achieved over the past year.:
The Law "On the Protection of Children from all Forms of Violence" was adopted, which entered into force in May 2025.;
A national multisectoral Strategy and an Action Plan for Child Protection have been developed;
Interagency standards for response and information exchange have been approved;
Amendments have been made to the Criminal, Administrative and CPC;
Positive parenting and family support programs have been launched.;
Safe and gender-sensitive standards have been introduced in educational institutions;
An information campaign has been implemented that creates zero tolerance for violence.
These measures have become part of a systemic reform to strengthen social protection and violence prevention. The Inson Social Service Centers and over 9,000 social workers who provide daily support to children and families play an important role.
In his speech, the head of the delegation emphasized:
"Behind every figure in the statistics is the life, dignity and future of a child - and this obliges us to act without delay. Uzbekistan has become the first country in Central Asia to join the global PathFinding 2.0 alliance. For us, it is not just recognition, but a responsibility to share experiences, learn from others and continue to build a system where every child is protected."
The conference became a platform for exchanging practices and identifying further steps to strengthen legal mechanisms, improve the effectiveness of social services and accelerate the implementation of international obligations to protect children from violence.
