During an
operational event at Tashkent International Airport, the baggage of a citizen,
born in 1980, a native of the Andijan region, currently living in Tashkent, who
was planning to fly on the Tashkent -Dubai flight, was checked.
During the
search, gold bars with a total weight of 1 kilogram and 923 grams were found in
a hidden compartment of the suitcase. The seized gold was registered as
physical evidence.
Another
citizen, a resident of the Tashkent region, born in 1992, who was previously
convicted under article 182 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan,
was also involved in this crime.
Pre-investigation
checks and investigative actions are currently being carried out on this fact.
Law
enforcement agencies have called on citizens to report such offenses using the
short number 1520. Confidentiality of requests is guaranteed.
