    The Anti-Corruption Agency held a meeting with representatives of the delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan Francois Bejo, Alessandro Liamine and Zofia Lyutkevich.

    The main purpose of the meeting was a detailed discussion of the project "Promoting the strengthening of the anti-corruption environment in Uzbekistan" in cooperation with the European Union.

    During the negotiations, it was noted that methodological, technical and expert support of national and international partners is important in the anti-corruption projects planned and implemented by the Agency.

    The parties exchanged views on the goals and objectives of the project. In particular, specific proposals and comments were made on improving the anti-corruption system of Uzbekistan and the institutional capacity of anti-corruption bodies, strengthening the Agency's potential in the field of public relations and the media.

    At the meeting, it was also proposed to provide technical assistance in the creation of a Virtual Academy by the Agency, to cooperate closely in the creation of a Regional Anti-Corruption Center (hub) in Uzbekistan.

    Representatives of the delegation of the European Union spoke in favor of activating cooperation by providing practical assistance in new areas of cooperation, the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency reports.
