A regular meeting of the Uzbek-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission was held in Ashgabat

    The 17th meeting of the Uzbek-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation was held in Ashgabat.

    The Uzbek delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev. The Turkmen side was attended by the heads of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Atdayev, Turkmenportal reports.

    During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation, strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of transport.

    The sides exchanged views on cooperation in the field of agriculture. Issues in the chemical industry were also discussed.

    Following the results of the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, the signing ceremony of the Protocol of the seventeenth meeting was held.
