In the future, the impact of the anticyclone will increase. By January 16-17, a decrease in air temperature is expected in almost the entire territory of the republic. The temperature will also decrease during the day, and cold weather is forecast at night and in the morning.
In addition, precipitation is expected under the influence of the anticyclone. Rain and snow are possible in some areas. Precipitation and increased wind will contribute to the leaching of fine particles accumulated in the atmosphere, which may lead to a temporary improvement in atmospheric air quality, the Uzhydromet added.
