At least 20 people were injured in a train collision in Egypt

    In the province of El Minya in the central part of Egypt, two passenger trains collided, injuring at least 20 people.

    According to the Report, this was announced by the Ministry of Health of the country on the social network.

    "According to preliminary data, 20 people were injured as a result of the train collision, all of them were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity," the statement said.

    The ministry stressed that they have not yet received information about those who died as a result of the incident. It is noted that 23 ambulances arrived at the scene. Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar sent his deputy there.

    According to the Al-Yaum as-Sabee portal, on the morning of October 13, a passenger train traveling to Cairo collided with a locomotive of another composition. As a result, two wagons fell into a water utility running next to the tracks. Rescuers are working on the spot; the causes of the incident are being investigated.
