During the meeting, Farid bin Saad al-Shahri congratulated the Consul General of Uzbekistan on his appointment to the new post and presented the original of the consular executive order signed by the head of the Saudi Foreign Ministry. He also stressed that the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia in the city of Jeddah will provide full support to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan on all issues, the Dunyo news agency reports.

During the conversation, it was noted that in recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia has significantly strengthened in all areas. Special attention was paid to the importance of exchanging information about upcoming international exhibitions, festivals and conferences in the trade, economic, tourism, scientific and cultural spheres, as well as the need to ensure the participation of representatives of both countries in these events.

The sides exchanged views on the possibility of establishing an Uzbek Language and Culture Center at the Consulate General.

In addition, issues of organizing the Hajj-2025 season at a high level, in particular, creating decent conditions for pilgrims from Uzbekistan, were discussed.
