During the conversation, a meaningful exchange of views took place on the current state and priority areas of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Martin Chongong, calling Uzbekistan one of the most active, proactive and reliable partners of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, highly appreciated the large-scale democratic reforms carried out in the country in recent years, the openness of the parliament's activities and the initiatives it puts forward in the international arena.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the international forums held in Bukhara and Tashkent, as well as the successful experience gained in Uzbekistan in implementing parliamentary control over the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, are recognized by the international community.

In this context, an exchange of views took place on the preparations for the Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, which will be held this year in the city of Samarkand, and the importance of this prestigious event was emphasized.
