On April 6, 2026, the head of the agency held meaningful and productive talks with the Mayor of Mazar-I-Sharif, Hafiz Abdulrahmon Himmat, the chairman of the Association of Pharmacists of Balkh province, Haji Muhammad, as well as the head of the Department for Control of Medicines and Food Products of Balkh province, Dr. Najibullah Tavon.
During the meetings, the parties discussed the expansion of cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector, the development of trade and economic ties and the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.
Also, during the visit, bilateral meetings in B2B and B2G formats were organized between members of the Uzbek delegation, major local importers of medicines and distribution companies.
During the negotiations, Uzbek pharmaceutical manufacturers widely presented their products, production facilities and export potential.
As a result of the business forum and a series of business meetings, a number of preliminary trade agreements were reached.
It is expected that the achieved results will bring Uzbek-Afghan cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector to a new level, and will also contribute to a significant increase in the share of Uzbek products in the Afghan market.
