    On December 3, 2024, a regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member States of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (ECO) was held in Mashhad.

    The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Usmanov.

    The heads of delegations discussed preparations for the next meeting of the ECO Council of Heads of State in Azerbaijan in 2025 and exchanged views on strengthening cooperation within the Organization.

    Following the meeting, the participants adopted the Mashhad Communique.

    From January 1, 2025, the chairmanship of the BSEC will be transferred from Iran to Kazakhstan for one year, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
