Before the meeting, the defense ministers of the CIS countries laid wreaths at the "Eternal Flame" on Victory Square in Minsk.

During the event held at the National Library of the Republic of Belarus, the heads of delegations of the defense departments discussed and approved the development of multilateral military cooperation in the CIS format, including:

· issues related to joint military-scientific activities, modern approaches and practical experience of defense departments in carrying out their tasks;

· We have approved a plan of joint activities for 2025;

· Also, by the decision of the CIS CFR members, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov was elected Chairman of the CIS CFR.

The meeting participants paid special attention to the issues of improving and developing the unified air defense system of the CIS member states. A decision has been made on the Chairman of the Coordinating Committee on Air Defense Issues at the CIS CFR.

Following the meeting of the CIS CFR, a number of documents will be submitted for consideration to the Council of Foreign Ministers, Heads of Government and Heads of State of the CIS.
