The organizing committee of the World Games noted that the mascots embody important aspects of life in Sichuan Province. Thus, considerable attention is paid to the protection of rare animals in the region. The design of the talismans uses a hibiscus flower - the symbol of Chengdu - and elements of artifacts found during the excavations of ancient Sanxingdui. Shu Bao and Jinzai are represented in clothes made of shu brocade, which is included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of China.
The slogan "Boundless sport, countless wonders" reflects the broad program of the 12th World Games and encourages athletes to set new records, fully realizing their potential, the organizing committee of the competition noted.
The 12th World Games will be held in Chengdu from August 7 to 17, 2025. Their program includes competitions in 35 sports, which will be attended by about 5,000 athletes from more than 100 countries.
