In particular, meetings were organized in Washington between representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the US Department of Commerce, the Institute of Cyber Readiness (CRI), as well as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
During them, the parties discussed strategies and best practices for expanding the internal system of digital payments in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the development of a cross-border ecosystem of digital payments. The importance of cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan in the development of cross-border payment systems and the possibility of improving international financial relations was noted.
The participants also discussed the role of the Cyber Readiness Institute in providing free tools and resources for cybersecurity training, which contributes to improving the level of training in this important area.
Various tools and resources provided by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology to improve cybersecurity in the financial sector were presented at the meeting, and opportunities for cooperation in this area were discussed.
Also within the framework of the program, meetings were held with representatives of the Federal Reserve System, the World Bank, the US Treasury (the Office of Cybersecurity and Protection of critical infrastructure, as well as the Office of Currency Regulation).
It was noted that such meetings represent an additional step in the development of cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan in the field of cybersecurity and the exchange of experience in the field of standards and technologies.
